  1. Interesting. Were these documents in the court file?

Do you happen to have another image of the request re: 5:12 and 5:22 pm June 26, 2010? The last name of Rodolfo Sanchez E--- is cut off after the "E." (I am curious as to the spelling of the last name given in the document.)

How the heck does a December 17-19, 2009, 9-1-1 medical call placed by Terri Horman regarding herself and Kaine Horman relate to the "ongoing investigation" of Kyron's disappearance and/or the supposed murder-for-hire allegations? If she is one calling 9-1-1 to request an ambulance, doesn't that factually undermine the supposed attempted murder for hire that allegedly occurred at the end of 2009?

If the investigation is so tenuous that it would be threatened by releasing 9-1-1 call records, what does that say about the status of investigation?

It is strange that MCSO would refuse to release 9-1-1 records, yet has no qualms about passing along unsourced and unattributed allegations to Kaine Horman and Desiree Young.

There's a fairness gap when law enforcement voluntarily provides unsubstantiated allegations to one parent for use in a child custody case, while refusing the other parent access to 9-1-1 call records.

  2. Hello, Lea.

I'm very busy this weekend, but want to acknowledge this comment, as I have been thinking that as the days and weeks are passing with no "investigative lead" panning out yet that we are in for yet another series of months -- while LE gets a "pass" on not finding Kyron nor giving Kiara a chance to be with her biological mom and free of the threat of perps on her father's side. If TMH is innocent, that is.

Not releasing the 911 calls says that LE is playing its game. Flush out a confession and/or avoid any and all evidence that might suggest they have played their hand and LOST.

I've heard from someone who knows Dede that the call was from TMH. That Kaine had had a minor emergency (medical...not trauma) and she was calling for him. It shows how much she cared for him at the alleged time of the MFH. Simple, right?

Typing quickly. I have a jewelry show tomorrow, so have been offline, mostly. I got you comment by email.

I promise I will check my originals on Monday morning and get back to you. Honestly, i've let things like this new blog slide and haven't gotten other stuff from the courthouse here.

There is not much. But I will start looking at what I have Monday.

This case makes me CRAZY....especially since I pay there salaries.

    1. I feel your pain. I am a former Multnomah County taxpayer, too.

I don't know these people, but I am troubled that unattributed statements--essentially, rumors--supposedly by law enforcement, could be used to obtain custody of a child. At the very least, someone needs to demand Kaine Horman identify who in law enforcement provided him with the so-called "probable cause" to believe Terri Horman was allegedly involved in Kyron's disappearance and also supposedly tried to hire a hitman to kill Kaine Horman.

If the source is a family member or anyone other than a person with direct involvement in the investigation, the information should not be used as basis for anything.

The other part that bugs me is the use of the term "probable cause." Where is the supposed factual basis for Kaine Horman's legal conclusion?

If law enforcement had probable cause to arrest, someone would be sitting in jail right now.

What probable cause does Kaine Horman supposedly have? Has that so-called probable cause been presented to a grand jury, or is Multnomah County now using civil plaintiffs to litigate criminal matters?

Where I come from, in family court, the judge issues findings of fact and conclusions of law, not the parties.

Kaine Horman has offered a legal conclusion but no real underlying factual basis for his assertion.

  3. Well, Lea, I checked my photo program. Looks like I cut it off. And it is interesting as it must be a maternal name prior to Sanchez?

It's got my curiosity, so next week I might venture back. If I go back to the computer upstairs I might be able to find, again, the document # that details the steps and times that TMH went thru to change James's name, too. There is a file just for that and I copied one page way back when, but there were several pages.

I'm making a new page tonight or tomorrow that might answer your question regarding "probable cause". BTW....the judge - Keith M. - does not consider arrest to be proof of probable cause. Did you get a chance to read that other document. Bunch claimed that Kaine had only heresay. But K.M. was not going to have any of it.

Now the law has upheld a victim's rights to a R/O based on "fear" of a spouse. Without LE backing it up. My SIL, in California, only said that my brother had slapped her. My bro did own up to that. A contentious divorce followed and he is still, I believe, under the rules of supervised visitation with after 6 years. IIRC correctly, she never had to prove that the kids were in danger, but only that she feared he was and would be stalking her. I do believe she wrote a letter or two to the judge regarding his lack of strong parenting skills.

Don't talk to that brother much, anymore, so don't know the rest of the story. I think he gave up the legal fight and resorted to not seeing them because he would have to undergo psych evaluations or something.

Seems totally unfair and a catch 22.

Sleepy. Worked hard the last week getting ready for a jewelry show. Unfortunately, the storm won out, and only made a fraction of my costs, unlike last year.

    Things could be worse.

    regards
    vw
